GWDYF in partnership with North-East Humanitarian Innovation Hub facilitates Social Innovation Entrepreneurship Bootcamp

Grow With Data Youth Foundation is pleased to have facilitated the business planning fundamentals and revenue generation through entrepreneurship for 31 internally displaced persons between the ages of 15 and 20, for a period of 4 weeks, at the Social Innovation Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (SIEB) organized by North-East Humanitarian Innovation Hub (NEHIH), in conjunction with North East Children’s Trust (NECT), Maiduguri. 

It was an exciting experience watching their eyes glow as they learned new concepts on business and entrepreneurship.  They gain practical experience from hands-on activities, idea generation, selection of company names, to their elevator pitch for funding, sourcing raw materials from the market, costing, and marketing.

Studying entrepreneurship benefits students and learners from different social and economic backgrounds because it teaches people to cultivate unique skills and think outside the box. Moreover, it creates opportunities, instills confidence, ensures social justice, and stimulates the economy. 

Entrepreneurship also has the ability to improve the standards of living of individuals and create wealth, not only for the entrepreneurs but also for related businesses. Entrepreneurs also help drive change with innovation, where new and improved products enable new markets to be developed.
